This quilt tells us about Renée Ferré‘s passion for antique tableware and Japanese crests that inspired its blocks. The idea of the centrepiece became clear after a visit to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam where Renée could admire a rose and white enamelled porcelain service that was decorated with circular hourglasses. The finished quilt measures 196 x 196cm.
